Andrea speaks English, Italian, and Spanish. His path started in restaurants and hotels across Italy and the UK, from Roman banquets to London's riverside dining rooms, where he learned that real hospitality means treating people as guests, not customers. A WSET sommelier course and years spent working the land as an agricultural technician brought him even closer to the vineyard. Guests describe him as a true professional who shares what he knows about wine, history and food with real passion, and who has the kind of relationship with the wineries that opens doors.
Lorenzo has spent years guiding and driving guests across Tuscany and beyond, from Brunello cellars in Montalcino to the road from Florence to Rome with a lunch stop in Orvieto. Long enough to know the difference between a real experience and a staged one, and to choose the real one every time. Guests remember him as warm and accommodating: the guide who reshapes the day around them, explains the local dishes and helps choose from the menu, and quietly takes care of every need, wheelchair access included. Punctual, easy to reach on WhatsApp, and on top of every detail.
Tuscan Detour was founded by two Tuscany-based guides who were tired of watching visitors get the same three vineyards and the same tour-bus itinerary. Every route on this site is one we've driven, walked, or eaten our way through ourselves.
