What we collect and why
- Enquiry, quote and waitlist forms. Your name, email address, the details you choose to give us (phone number, dates, group size, message). We use them only to reply to you about a possible tour. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (GDPR art. 6.1.b).
- Newsletter. Your email address, if you subscribe. We use it to send news about our tours. Legal basis: your consent (art. 6.1.a). You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Email and WhatsApp. If you write to us, we keep the conversation to answer you and to organise your trip.
- Bookings. When bookings open, we will also need the details necessary to run your tour, such as names of guests and dietary requirements, and the data needed for invoicing, which we must keep by law.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for automated decisions.
Who handles your data for us
- Netlify hosts this website and receives the form submissions. Data may be processed in the United States under the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
- Zoho Mail (European data centre) hosts our email.
- WhatsApp (Meta) if you contact us through WhatsApp.
- SumUp processes card payments once bookings open. We never see or store your card details.
- Google Fonts. This site loads its fonts from Google servers, so your IP address is sent to Google when a page loads.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this page and ask for your consent where required.
How long we keep your data
Enquiries that do not become a booking are kept for up to 24 months. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Invoices and accounting records are kept for the period required by Italian law, generally ten years.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to limit or object to its use, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Write to info@tuscandetour.com and we will reply within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
