Your Day
Early pick-up in Florence or Bologna
Parmigiano is made at dawn, so the day starts early: around 8:30 from Bologna, earlier from Florence, to arrive while the cheesemakers are at work.
Parmigiano Reggiano dairy
Watch the curd lifted from the copper vats and shaped by hand, walk through the ageing room among thousands of wheels, then taste Parmigiano of different ages with Lambrusco.
Prosciutto for lunch
Into the hills south of Parma, where the air cures the ham. A visit to a family prosciutto house and a long lunch with Prosciutto di Parma and the local salumi.
The city of Parma
The afternoon is for Parma with your guide: the pink marble Baptistery, the Duomo and the elegant streets of the old town, before the drive back.

Why such an early start?
Parmigiano Reggiano is made in the morning, so we reach the dairy early to see the cheesemakers at work. From Florence we leave about an hour earlier than from Bologna.

Yes, at the same price. We collect you at your hotel in Florence or in Bologna; we confirm the exact times when you book.
Is lunch included?
Yes, lunch is at the family-run prosciutto house, together with the tastings.
Can vegetarians join?
Yes. The dairy is fully vegetarian-friendly and we arrange a vegetarian lunch: just tell us when you book.
